Short throw shifter kit for OE replacement on 5 speed manual trans in:

  • Does NOT FIT optional HD trans (RPO MT8, cast iron case)
• Also fits C/K 2500 w/ GVWR below 8500 lb - except diesel

Only fits Getrag Muncie HM290 (1988) & 5LM60 (1989-1992) manual trans specific to these models & years - aluminum case

• Sometimes confused with subsequent NV3500 - did not exist before 1993
• Does NOT FIT HD trans (cast iron case), diesel or 2500 HD (GVWR > 8500), newer models, S10, or any other model; NOT for custom use or remote linkages
• Base configured for transmission receptacle height of 7/8" - 1 1/4" as original to these models

• IF your transmission has been serviced, it MAY REQUIRE A DIFFERENT BASE. If you install the wrong one it will not work properly and could cause damage. To confirm height, remove shifter base and measure transmission

Kit includes PLAIN chrome stick #0291, classic knob, base assembly w/ lower pivot cup, mounting hardware, dust cover boot, 1" floor boot adapter grommet, and installation instructions.
